The R-Word
OUR EXPERIENCES
Breeanna Paul, 10th grade
Circle of Friends has impacted my life and high school experience by changing my attitude towards what I think and how I act. In school and out I’m always trying to be as helpful as possible. If I see someone who needs help caring something or needs a door open I will help the best I can.
Macy Decker,
12th grade
One of my favorite things about being apart of Circle of Friends is all the amazing people I have met through it. Some of them have become my best friends and I could not imagine my high school experience any other way. While at Circle of friends you never stop laughing and smiling, it is a place where you can go and just enjoy yourself and have fun.
Circle of Friends is part of the R-Word movement to "Spread the Word and End the Word". It is important that Washburn Rural High School is a safe and respectful environment for all. Make your pledge to stop saying the R-word today.

Circle of friends benefits the school by helping students without disabilities learn to interact with students that have a disability. It also helps develop friendships that otherwise never would have happened.
Circle of Friends has made my life a lot more enjoyable, being able to hangout with them and seeing how they are always smiling everyday having a good time is contagious and it puts me in a good mood and joking around with them. It has brought a lot more happiness into my life being able to hangout with them.
